"If Men Were Treated Like Women In Hollywood."

While I can't vouch for how accurate or exaggerated any of the other parts of this video are (although it I had to guess, I doubt it'd be far from the truth), if you change the part where they say "P.A." to "electrician," I can honestly say those scenes hold truth*. Very much truth.

I've even had this scenario happen to me. Almost word for word. And more than once.

If the "on the set" scenes are so eerily accurate, how realistic do you think the other scenes are?

* And by that, I mean if the roles were reversed. I mean if I was in the guy in the video's place like I am in real life. ...you know what I mean.

Why did you get a guy PA? You know they don't know how to work lights. Puleeze keep PA(s) of all genders away from thing that make sparks and go Poof! Let them help the grips, it's hard to damage a hammer.

.....lets see your stomach. Hilarious!

But seriously, best people I've worked with as an Electrician, no bitching, no setting anyone up to look stupid, no bragging, no lying about abilities, all teamwork, no goofing off, were the female Electrics.

AJ - This is, sad but true. My wife who once worked in the industry as a PA and being a 5'11" amazon woman faced the same things. Granted she was also the hardest worker, and could toss a steel pop up tent around like it was nothing. She out lifted most of the guy PA's who where a little on the delicate side. A lot of the PA women are more open and responsive to learning. The boys i have to beat with a stick several times before they learn.

Only some men realize that eventually who fucking cares who everyone thinks is the best. Just be the best you can be and help the department be the best it can be. Guys have to get past their ego and see the group as the important priority. Women tend to have less ego, and work as a group better. Granted there are exceptions to every rule.

I'm confused here...are you agreeing with or trying to insult me?
