It's Kind Of Funny (In A Sad Way) When...
... you're working for a sucky rate that seems even suckier when you realize that your expendables are essentially getting paid more than you are.

That's why being a best boy on a show with a pre bought expendables package makes up the difference in pay. Squirrel away all the expendables then just tight fist the supply making people actually use it wisely and fairly, instead of burning it up uselessly. By the end of the show you got your self a sweet little honey pot of booty to take home.
Niall - Side story: I once scored a brand new can of dulling spray at the end of a shoot. Some time later, I sold it to a production I was on who didn't have the foresight to pick some up on their own. At the end of that shoot, I ended up with the now half empty can again, and later, sold it to another shoot for the same reason.
Michael - Wow. You're right, but that also means out of all the expendables, we were getting paid the least. Ouch.

As far as the producers are concerned, we're all expendables...
