It's less funny when the temperature plummets after the rainstorm and the sandbags are all frozen solid into a bunch of useless shapes. (Actually, it's kinda funny, but I don't have to deal with them.)
Wet sandbags can get putrid, especially if a little of the local environment gets absorbed. Imagine unloading a wet pile that's been sitting in a hot truck for a couple days...
